2016 Health Expo

Greetings FBCG Ministries,

We are weeks away from the 23^rd annual FBCG Health Expo! Praise the Lord!

Please encourage your members to volunteer for this Church-wide event. The registration link is active and we look forward to your collaboration. Last year we had over 200 volunteers from over 40 Ministries and your help is needed again this year. Please make sure that your members include the one (1) Ministry they are representing for Collaboration Ministry reporting. Also please include how they would like to/can best serve, for example if they have limited mobility please let us know and we will do our best to assign them to an accommodating area.

Please also note two features of the Health Expo that we would like for you to share with your members even if they are not able to volunteer. Information for both items are available at our Health Ministry display tables in the Great Hall on Sundays after services:

Donate blood for all the little reasons! We are hosting a blood drive on the day of the Health Expo!

Children’s National Health System, locally referred to as Children’s Hospital, is the only exclusive provider of pediatric care in the Washington Metropolitan area.

Many children in the hospital require fresh blood or special rare types of red blood cells. Red blood cells, platelets, and plasma are in constant demand for victims of accidents, cancer treatments, blood diseases, and many types of surgery.

Please take a few minutes from your busy schedule and donate lifesaving blood for the patients at Children’s National. PLEASE SEE THE REGISTRATION LINK BELOW AND FLYER ATTACHED

“’CAUSE WE CARE”

We ask that you solicit participation the members of your ministry to “walk for their cause” at our Health Expo on June 11, 2016. The course will be one lap around the Worship Center or only as far as one can safely walk during a specified time. All participants will be accompanied by members of the “Spiritual Walkers” a collaboration between the Health, Fitness and Sports Ministries. We will provide registration information forthcoming, and people can register onsite as well.
