The Troop camping and hiking @ Watkins park scheduled for this Friday (5/20) has been canceled and will be scheduled for a new date. We will have our regular Troop and Patrol meeting.
Message from Life Scout Nicholas Christian:
I would like to thank everyone who came out to support my eagle scout service project today. It was a great success. We collected and prepped 50 bikes. Special thanks to: ASM Bowens for coming out to help with the bikes and supervising the cooking of lunch, ASM Thomas for your support and guidance and all the ASMs and parents for coming out to help and words of encouragement.
Teen Spin Fit Class Part II:
This week we will host another opportunity for scouts to participate in an indoor cycling class. The last one was a blast! Our next session is this Sunday, May 22nd at 1pm. Location is Retro Fitness at 8827 Annapolis Rd. Lanham, MD. There are limited spaces left, so please sign up as soon as possible. If you are unable to attend after signing up, please update the Doodle so that someone else can attend. Contact when you arrive is ASM Estrada. This year’s theme is “Mission Possible: Operation Protect Your Health.” We have been requested as a Ministry to assist in with the PhD Obstacle Course. ILST Training Update:
The purpose of the Introduction to Leadership Skills for Troops course is to teach scouts with leadership positions about their new roles and how to most effectively reach success in that role. This is a great opportunity for scouts to develop their leadership skills. Please take this opportunity to sign up for this invaluable training to help develop our scouts. Summer Camp-Final Week
$275 registration fee – Payments are being accepted at each regularly scheduled Friday night troop meeting. Installments will be accepted, and the deadline for final payment is May 20th, 2016. Payments made in cash or by check made out to BSA Troop 1657 will be accepted.
