Hello Fellow Scouts,
I am Nicholas Christian of the Wildcats patrol and I requesting your assistance to help make my Eagle Scout Service Project a "howling" success. On Saturday, May 14th from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m., I will be partnering with Bikes for the World to collect bikes for individuals in need in third world countries. The new owners will use the bikes for transportation to work, school, and health services.
I need your help to prepare the bikes for shipping. This requires removing the pedals and attaching them to the frame with zip ties, lowering the seats, and lowering and turning the handle bars parallel to the frame. Here is a link to a video demonstrating this procedure https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zbvrFKybOUM&feature=youtu.be. I have also created a sign up sheet on Doodle at http://doodle.com/poll/qufya8xsksuiac5f
Please sign up and mark your calendars. I would like to do a hands on demonstration a week before the event to practice and to address any questions.
My goal is to collect at least 100 bikes. So please share the attached flyer with your family, friends, classmates, teammates, or anyone you know to help spread the word. Thanks for your support.
Yours in Scouting,
Nicholas Christian
