Hello Troop Family,
Did you know, that 181 Boy Scouts went on to become NASA Astronauts, including Neil Armstrong?
Below are the weekly announcements:
PLC/ASM/Committee Meeting:
There will be a scout leaders meeting only this Friday, April 7, 2017. All boy leaders are to be present. Each patrol should have the PL, APL or a delegate to represent each patrol. PLC meeting will begin promptly at 7pm. Scouts should arrive prepared with paper and something to write with or electronic method to collect information. Each patrol leader should have their monthly report prepared and ready to present.
All ASMs and Committee leaders should arrive by 7:30pm for a separate meeting. The meeting will end with a presentation from the boys to ASMs and Committee leaders on their plans for consideration.
Health Expo:
We are excited to reach out to you and invite you to the Collaboration Planning meeting for the 2017 FBCG Health Expo. Please "Save the Date" for the Expo as Saturday June 10, 2017!
Our goal is to partner with other FBCG Ministries to make this event a success to the Glory of God! We will send out specific Ministry collaboration requests moving forward.
Spring Camporee:
The Spring Camporee will be May 26-29 at Goshen for the 50th Anniversary. The cost will be $35 for the camp fee. Each patrol will be responsible for their own cooking and menus. We are getting the cost for transportation but in the meantime, we need to know who is interested in participating on this campout. Please stay tuned for additional information on the details of the event.
Currently there 22 out of 78 scouts signed up and 3 out of 45 adult leaders and two parents signed up.
When using paypal, please make sure the scout name and event name when using paypal. You can send PayPal payment as Friends and Family to fbcgtroop1657@gmail.com. Please DO NOT send as Good and Services which results in additional fees to the troop and will have to be paid by the person submitting payment.
Summer Camp:
Currently there are 16 out of 78 scouts, 3 Webelos II’s and 4 out of 45 leaders, two Webelos II Leaders
July 9-15 July Summer Camp at Camp Powhatan

Camp Cards:
The “Camp Card” fundraising program is back!
This initiative is designed to help Scouts earn their way to Summer Camp and Day Camp. Units participating in the 2017 program will earn up to 50% commission, ($2.50) on each $5 Camp Card they sell. Please see ASM Taylor at upcoming meetings for more information on how to obtain the cards.
