Good evening Troop Families,
Please note the following announcements from Scout Master Kelly Burgess and Committee Chair Charles Heyward:
1. The meeting location for this Friday, October 9th will be outside at the boyscout shed. This is located in the back of the parking lot adjacent to the overflow parking lot. There is a trailer in front of the building that has First Baptist Church of Glenarden on it. All attending should bring their flashlights, lawn, beach or camping chairs.
2. All scouts and Assistant Scout Masters signed up to attend the fall camporee should bring their payment of $40 to the meeting this Friday. If paying by check, please make $25 payable to Troop 1657, and $15 goes to the ASM of the patrol. ASM James Brown will make further announcements Friday night.
3. If you have any tents in your possession, we need them to be returned to the troop ASAP. Please email ASM Byron Tyer no later than Wednesday the 7th by noon indicating the number of tents you have and coordinate a time and location for returning. ASM Tyer can be reached at tyer@udc.edu
4. The troop needs any unpaid, outstanding receipts turned in at the Welcome Back Meeting this Friday. If you lost your receipt, provide a hand written receipt indicating the items and amount with your signature. The troop is closing out all outstanding unpaid receipts.
